Common questions
- The scan returned the wrong food.
- Tap the food name in the result card to edit it. The macros recalculate automatically.
- How do I cancel my subscription?
- iOS Settings → tap your Apple ID → Subscriptions → PlateIQ → Cancel Subscription.
- How do I restore a subscription on a new device?
- Open PlateIQ, go to the paywall, tap "Restore Purchase." You must be signed in with the same Apple ID that purchased the subscription.
- The app says "No subscription products available."
- This usually means the App Store finished provisioning your subscriptions but your device hasn't refreshed yet. Force-quit PlateIQ and reopen, or sign out and back in to your Apple ID.
- Will my meal history sync across devices?
- Not yet. Meal history is currently stored locally on each device. Cross-device sync is on the roadmap.
- Does PlateIQ work without an internet connection?
- The scan step needs internet (it sends the photo to our food-recognition backend). Once a meal is logged, viewing history and totals works offline.
